22 X 30 INCHES IS THE CONVENIENT SIZE, BUT 23
X 35 INCHES CAN ALSO BE MADE.
PIGMENT OR NATURAL COLORS ARE USED, BUT AS VERY
FEW COLORS ARE AVAILABLE IN THEM, DIRECT SYNTHETIC
COLORS ARE USED TO GIVE A VERY BRIGHT SHADE
TO PAPER. THESE DYES ARE NON-TOXIC. ONLY THOSE
CHEMICALS ARE USED WHICH ARE VERY ESSENTIAL
FOR MAKING PAPER SUCH AS RAISIN,ALUM, STRACH
ETC.
RAGS ARE BLEACHED WITH BLEACHING
POWDER AND WASTED COMPLETELY WHEN DESIRED BRIGHTNESS
IS ACHIEVED, TITANIUM-DIOXIDE IS USED IN SOME
PAPERS TO SMOOTHNESS.
Paper making by hand is a traditional
craft of India, which is being carried out since
327 Bc.
Paper making by hand, therefore creates no pollution,
saves forest wealth, utilizes local raw material
to provide employment to village artisans at
their door steps.
Each and every sheet is made on hand moulds
by workers. This production technique gives
paper extra strength, unique texture and long
life. As, Paper is made individually, slight
variation is in basic weight, shade and texture
always occur but within prescribed limits of
plus and minus of 5%. Paper is made in smooth
rough and linen finish but any other texture
can also be given to the paper sheet as per
customers choice if technically feasible.

or 460 Bamboo plants which are used per Tonne
of paper, manufactured in the large scale are
saved by the manufacture of Hand Made Paper,
thus preventing Deforestation.
It helps in preventing water, and air pollution
using very small quantity of chemical in Contrast
with the large quantity of polluting chemicals
used in mill Paper.
It is highly decentralized rural Industry and
their pollution hazards are insignificant.
